Ruth,
There is a Denney Mail List. I have the address should you want/need it, I
would be happy to send it to you. There were Denny's in Fayette Co, IN, ca.
1829. One name that I know was a Cintha (Cinthia??) Denny. They may have
been connected to the PAVEY/PAVY family that I research and believe they
probably went to IN from OH, and possibly NC before that? My branch of the
PAVEY family migrated to Boone Co, IN before the 1860 census from Washington
Co., IN. Samuel PAVEY that was in Fayette Co, we believe (md. to a Heathy
Denney, 1813-14, Greene Co, OH) was probably the brother of (my) John PAVEY
of Washington Co, IN. The only other surname on your list that I am
familiar with is COX...they may have come from NC to IN and were originally
Quakers. Probably a couple of good IN counties you could check for them in
earlier would be Randolph and Wayne (for starters.)
Hope this helps some.
Marsha McWilliams
Researching: PAVEY/PEAVEY/PEAVY and all of its' spellings/mis-spellings.

Searching, searching..... please, anyone with connections to these names in
Boone or Montgomery Co., IN, in the mid-1800's, let me know so we can
compare
notes. At least some of the people involved migrated across IA to NE in the
mid-1800s. I believe others migrated into MO.
