Hi,
I've been reading with interest on the recent Boone Co correspondences, and
wanted to 'jump in' and say something here in regards to the Hoover-Stotzman
family. You may want to check out the spellings of HUBER and STUTZMAN as I
believe they may be the same families.
Also, in the Boone Co book that has been talked about, I believe this is the
book with the CLICK family (who married into the PAVEY's.) If anyone is
interested I do have some family information on them.

Have you researched the HOOVER history? It has Boone Co. Davenports in
it.
Are you referring to a specific book or to the surname in general? If
it is a book, I am very interested in knowing more about it.
I haven't begun to thoroughly research my HOOVER ancestors yet but I do
know the following:
My 4th great grandparents were Augustine "Austin" DAVENPORT (1798-1836)
and Elizabeth HOOVER (1793-1840). Both of them were born in North
Carolina and died in Boone County. Elizabeth's parents were Jacob
HOOVER and Elizabeth STOTZMAN and her grandparents were Andrew HOOVER
Sr. and Margaret FOUTS (PFAUTZ). Elizabeth was also a cousin to
President Herbert Clark HOOVER.
