Are there any Jacob Harmons or Phillip Harmons mentioned in the book you
speak of. My Harmons were in Southwest VA before they went to East
Tennessee. I think they were in Wythe and Montgomery counties, I don't know
about the others. They came to America in late 1600's into Virginia from
Germany via Rotterdam, Netherlands.
Would be interested in any bios and also the book you are talking about.

I have the History of Bland County, Virginia, 1961. It includes a
history
of
the Adam Harman family of Southwest VA. The Harmons that you are
interested
in may be of this family. Some married into the Pauley family in
Southwest
VA. Records of the Harmon family are in
(Montgomery/Wythe/Tazwell/Giles/Bland counties. The Pauleys, Munseys and
Scotts, early settlers in Boone County IN, are all pretty much related and
came from Southwest VA via Tennessee and Kentucky.
If anyone on the list lives in the Boone Co area and would be
interested
in looking at the book, I have tentavie plans, health permitting, to
be in
Lebanon on July 28th and can bring the book with me. There are other
Harmon
bios as well as mention in other bios. Unfortunately it has only an
abbreviated index.
