Katie,
Thanks for forwarding the query about John Forguson. I'm glad to see
you are still getting the Boone-L correspondence. I thought I was still
on the list, but I didn't get the one you forwarded, so maybe I'm not
anymore. Let me know if I need to also contact Thelma. I did NOT get
all the Ferguson info entered. As usual, got sidetracked. This time I
have been printing Ahnentafel reports for my sister and brother and
kids. I do have the direct line info entered, but need to fill out the
affiliated families of siblings, etc and embellish the notes with Obits,
Bible records, etc. It has been very slow doing these reports. They
are each about 750 pages, and I have been copying photos to stick in
there, which is a whole 'nuther' line of things to sort through and
prepare. Nothing goes very smooth. In addition, I got a nice package
of 37 documents on Kent's ancestry from the Litnuanian Archives (took 2
1/2 years). It expands his ancestry 4 generations. They only looked up
the direct line families and all their children, but did not go into the
children's children, as we do. I wish I could read Lithuanian, Polish,
Russian and Hebrew. Would love to see the archives there. When I look
at the records, my mind jumps to all the kinds of things I would explore
if the documents were here.
Has Thelma gotten back to you? What is her line from John?
We did birthdays for Kathy and Jenny (our twins) and Kat's husband
Mark last night. They all have birthdays next week. Was a nice
gathering and we played the "farm game" after dinner. Was a nice
change. We usually play cards, but the family is getting so big, and
the kids are now getting big enough to want to be included that we have
to set up 2 tables for cards and switch tables halfway through the game.
I remember I always wanted to be included when my parents played cards
with their friends, and the most I did was they would let me do their
hand if they had to go to the bathroom or something.
We are going to Osh Kosh again this year. driving. Only for 3 days,
from Sunday through Wednesday. I will spend the days with Vivian again.
We will leave early to be in Missouri to visit some cousins and for a
family reunion on my dad's side. I don't know any of the people that
will be there, but it is at least in the same town where the cousins live.
Good to hear from you. Hope you & Tom are well and keeping busy and
warm. We are still digging out from the snow. Lots of tree damage that
needs to be cut up and hauled away and then the trees are going to need
a professional to come in and try to save them.
Sandy
