Kim, I answered you this AM, but I got a error message just as I tried to send it. So
I'll try again.
I don't know much about Martin I THINK he was born ca. 1800/10 in VA. or OH. I think
he lived with his parents even after he was marr. which was about 1830/31 in OH. wife
unkn. ch. Sarah b. ca 1832, Barnet b. ca. 1836, Phebe b. ca 1839, and Mary Jane b. ca
1840. I also think that both Martin and his wife d. about the time of Mary Jane's
birth. They neither one appears in the 1840 census. I found some guardianship papers in
the "heretofore" books at the Boone Co. Ct. Hse.
Sarah was not with the Howard Co. Family in the 1850 Census, altho she must have had close
ties with them, since she was marr. there to Patrick H. Sullivan. It took me along time
to find Sarah in the 1850 census, she was in Indianapolis, and they misspelled her name. I
had to read the census page by page in order to find it.
There are two young men living in the same household in Howard Co. with the same name. I
was working with a lady in Indpls. yrs. ago that insised that they were bros. No way I
thought they were coz., but I couldn't convince her of that.
The History of the Sullivan Family is at the Patrick H. Sullivan Museum in Zionsville, IN.
in case your interested.
I'll be gald to answer any questions if I have the answers. Nancy

Hello,
I was wondering if you had any other information on this family, like what
was his wife's name? Also the three children that you know he had, I
noticed that Sarah married Patrick Sullivan in Howard county, Indiana.
Couple question's I found a family in the 1850 Howard county Indiana census,
Was he born 1800 in Ohio, Was her name, Rachel, born abt 1805 Ohio, children
Martin 1837, Rachel, 1839, Margaret, 1841, and Mary 1845?? not sure, cause
there is no Sarah in there, unless she was staying with someone else. Do
you have a middle name for Martin?? His name in the cenus was Barny
Brohard. There was also a Barney BROHARD in Boone county, Indiana. Dates
listed may help more.

I believe that he was b. in Hamilton Co., OH in the early 1800's. Probably
marr. there. He and his wife never appeared in any census. They had at least
3 ch. and d. in Boone Co., IN.
> Their Daug. Sarah Broughard marr. Patrick H. Sullivan as his 2nd wife.
Their Daug. Isephena Sullivan was my g-grandmother.
> Thanks, Nancy
