Okay, so we know he was alive in 1915 but the death date could be
anytime
after that, correct?
I'll grab the cemetery books for both Union and Eagle and see if I can
find
him when I am in there. There may be some new listings. I'm not
sure how
they have the deaths recorded at the courthouse -- I have never looked one
up in Indiana. I am a transplant here. Perhaps if they have an index I
can
look at it when I am in Lebanon and see if I can find him. I thought
I
would also look at the newspaper files to see if any of these folks left
obituaries that might explain the relationship.
I'm not sure just when I will get to this so be patient.

Karen:
Thanks so much for checking the cemetery books!
Jessie was alive as of the 1920 Federal Census (Supervisor's District 9,
Enumeration District 10, Sheets 2A and 2B. Series: T625 Roll: 423 Page: 119.
Enumerated 28 January 1920 by Bert Swain) and was enumerated in the
household of Edward Caldwell.
The last time I was in Zionsville was at age 13; I spent a week at my
cousin's house copying by hand all the genealogy she'd compiled. But I never
then thought to go to the courthouse and I haven't been back.
