Regarding Gouge: There's a copy of Early Life and Times, etc in the Lebanon
Library I believe. The librarian there (Dian Moore) may be able to copy the
relevant pages for you. I think it's a history of the different townships
followed by biographical sketches of some of the citizens (men) of the

Could some one give more information on this book, either here on the list
or
privately? The book is mentioned as a source of information a couple
times
on the Boone County web page, but it's not described (i.e. a recent work, an
old book, an old book that's been reprinted, etc.)
I understand that my ggggrandfather John Porter was a pioneer resident of
the county, and that I still have many "cousins" there.
