Subject: [INBOONE-L] James Davis m. Sarah Gardner Porter 1870's

From: "Larry Slavens" <IArooster(a)earthlink.net>

A new "cousin" has supplied a couple scraps of information that I'd like
to
confirm. This new information says that my gggrandmother Sarah
Gardner, who married my gggrandfather John W. Porter in Montgomery or
Boone Co., Indiana in 1859, married a James Davis some time after my
gggrandfather's death in 1870. No wonder I've never been able to find any
death information for a Sarah Porter.
He also states that James Davis and Sarah had a son Jesse L. Davis b.
about 1876. I have not been able to search censuses or anything yet to find
a clueas to where they may have lived, but chances are it was somewhere in
the Ladoga- North Salem- Jamestown area. My Porter line is centered
around Jamestown.
If anyone has information on this family I'd love to hear from you and
exchange information!
