(Maybe I've asked this before, in which case I apologize for the duplication.
If we don't complete our move soon . . .)
(Also, second apology, maybe this is at the GenWeb site, but I couldn't see
for looking.)
I now am pretty sure of John Polk Hazard's parents: William J. Pock and Mary
White, found on the license for his second marriage at age 63.
Using those names I found on the web the marriage of William J. Pock and Mary
White in Boone County IN on 21 July 1844. I would like to write for a copy
of their marriage license, but to where? And how much should I send to cover
costs?
I also found the couple on the 1850 census with John being 1/12 year old.
The heading says: State IN, County Boone, 3 Division, District No. 7. Where
is that? The columns are headed with abbreviations I can mostly understand.
The ones I don't are: HN, FN, VAL., MRD., DDB. Can anyone tell me?
This is really getting exciting. Have I found the loose brick in the wall?
:-)
