Thank you all for the postings which are very helpful. I'd like to find out about
Lavina Dear. She stayed in Boone Co. married to Benjamin Stoker and is in the 1900-1930
censuses on a farm near Lebanon. In the 1900 Census she says that she has 3 living
children but apparently they were not by Benjamin Stoker as they were married in 1887 and
the children would have been too young to live apart from the family. So she may have had
a 1st marriage but she says that she that her marriage to Benjamin in 1887 was her first
marriage. She was his 3rd wife according to the 1910 Census. I'm looking for female
descendents of this family for mitochondrial DNA studies. We hope to gain some information
about Lavina Deer 's ancestor Sarah Stubblefield who m. Richard Watts.
