Marilyn ... thank you very much. This has been very helpful and given me a wealth of
information! Was your source of death records for Boone County one of your personal
abstracts/compilations?
I believe this is Mary Ann BOBBS who married Alexander Hamilton CARR in Warren County,
Ohio, 1845 [source: Warren County Ohio Marriage Records, page 7] In 1850 they are on the
Clermont County, Ohio census.
I believe they removed to Indiana mid-1850's and are found on the 1860 census for
Hamilton County, Washington Twp. [Roll: M653_263; Page: 355; Image: 356]
It's probable Alexander Hamilton Carr has died prior to 1870 when Mary Ann marries
William Patterson. Alexander is the brother of James Madison Carr (aka Madison Carr) of
Union Twp., Boone County. Hannah Bobbs is the wife of James Madison Carr and could
possibly be the sister of Mary Ann Bobbs ... yet to prove.
** NOTE: I believe that the Alexander Carr who married Mary A. Baker in Hamilton County,
1860, is a different man. I believe that couple can be found on the 1860 census in Edgar
County, Illinois living with a Baker family, and then they are back in Jackson Twp.,
Hamilton County, Indiana on the 1870 census.
