I recently sent a query concerning John C. Chambers to this list.
There were a
number of =AO's in the message as it appeared on the list, making it difficult
to read. I have not had this problem before. Can anyone tell me what cause
this? Thank you. dorrisl1(a)aol.com
Have you changed email programs recently, or was the information cut and
pasted from a web page and into your email? Usually those strange =AO
and other weird characters pop up when an HTML-encoded or other non-plain
Jane ASCII text is sent in an email to someone who can't handle it. When
you send mail to lists like INBOONE, it helps to be sure your email program
is set to send plain text. In Outlook Express, if you go to "Tools" then
"Options" you'll find a tab marked "Send" and the option to send
as HTML or
plain text. Other mailers should have these settings under "Preferences" or
something similar.
