Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
It appears that Proquest has decided to only provide their "Heriage Quest Online" service to public libraries. Does anyone know if any library in Boone County subscribes.
We live in the area served by the Hussey-Mayfield Library and they provide absolutely no genealogical services.
This will be a big loss -- I have had access through both Godfrey Library in Connecticut and NEHGS.

Hi Verna,
Do you happen to know the Purdues and McCall's in Thorntown? My Mother was a
Purdue and her older Sister Aline married Hubert McCall. He was the sherrif
there for a long time. His son Tom McCall still lives there. My Grandparents
were Lanus and Pansy Purdue. My Mom was Susie Purdue. She also had a brother
Ethan and another sister Nancy who I think was born after they moved to
Thorntown.

Over the weekend I found the cemetery that John and Laura are buried in. There are several Glendennings buried in the small cemetery.

There is a Hattie Glendening b. 28 Feb 1886, d. 25 Sept 1905, parents Henry Wilson Glendening and Maria Ann Egbert. It says she married David Pitzer 1901. What was your cousins name? You might try the Lebanaon,(Boone county), Indiana court house for marriage, death records etc.. Most starting keeping records in 1900.

I saw Riley Pitzer's draft card for WW1
and it listed his name as Baker Riley Pitzer. It listed a sister Kava Weber. I noticed that Hattie died in 1905 and was 19 years old. She had typhoid fever and is buried at Mt. Union Cemetery with her Glendenning family. Sorry I'm not finding anythng else on Riley and Hattie. I also was looking for a marriage and didn't find it.
Go to the library in Thorntown Boone Co IN. They are most helpful and have
books done by, I think, Marilyn Walker (I may be wrong on this name) who has
walked and listed many cemeteries in Boone & Clinton Co. IN. They are very
helpful there. My grandmother was bn in Thorntown and I have been there
several times. They also have maps of how to get to the various cemeteries.
