Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
I have typed up several old obituaries and will post them as soon as I am able.
Jane Heine's email box is full and the obituaries I have sent to her to post have
come back undeliverable.

Hi, If you haven't found Elizabeth Bowman yet, you might want to try Pisgah
Cemetery in Montgomery Co
IN or Providence Cem., Montgomery Co. IN. They are just west of the
Boone-Montgomery Co. line, and several Bowman families lived in that area.

Hi, I just found my ancestor in the Boone Co. 1880 census, in Jackson Twp. I
had thought she was in Montgomery Co. but hadn't been able to find where she
was buried, obviously looking in the wrong county. Could somebody please see
if there is an Elizabeth BOWMAN buried in Boone Co., born ab. 1813, if there
is an indexed cemetery list around. She died after 1880. Many thanks!

My ancestor, Penina A. (Beaman) PAVEY, died in Montgomery Co, KS in Nov.,
1872. She had recently moved there with other members of her family from
Boone Co, IN and still owned a farm there in Centre twp. Her estate was
filed in Boone Co (I have copies of originals.) I would like to find out if
there was an obituary for her in a Boone Co newspaper.
Thank you.

Hi,
Does anyone have access to a marriage index that might clarify who the
parents were of these two girls?
Lola Hazel Sicks md. John A. Hooten Aug 20, 1908
Jennie Sicks md Ora Lewis July 4, 1880
Any help in identifying these ladies will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

Does anyone have access to the 1880 Census of Boone Co.? I am looking for the
family of John C. Chambers. He was born 28 May 1820 in Preble Co., Ohio and
married Nancy Holmes in 1841 in Decatur Co., IN. He is thought to be have
been alive for some years after 1880. I especially want to locate him in the
1880 census to learn where his parents were born; however, any information on
these people would be appreciated.

about Leonard L. Byroad , he married Mildred G.Bevington.

Donna and Mary...
I have seen your recent discussion on the Stewarts and Byroads. I do have
both of these names in my lines I researching. The Stewart Line is more
direct to me, but I will have to look up my hard copies for names etc. They
ended up in Marion county...my Grandfather was Oscar H Stewart...his father
was Oscar A, married to Ella Scott (I think)...will have to get more info
for you to see if there is any connection at all.
My Great Aunt (Mildred Hamstra, now of Arizona) was married to Lenoard
Byroad of Boone County. I don't have much info to share about them, but
though I would throw that out there!
