My husband's g-g-g-grandmother, Lydia Brown, married Robert Wall. Lydia's
sister, Tabitha, married John Huffman. Coleman Huffman was their son. I
know of at least two people who are working on this Huffman line. The name
Artimissa comes from the Brown family, (I believe). Marilyn

I have been forwarded a memo from or-roots re: the ceremonies for laying
the marker for James T. LEWIS.
Is this LEWIS related to the Eber LEWIS who was born in 1814 in Canada,
married Elizabeth STEWARD born in 1814 in Broome County, NY, the dau of
John Richard STEWARD and Catherine CATLIN. Eber and Elizabeth had nine
children: Charles A., John D., Lucie A., Edward, Eber (Heber) Jr.,
Albert, Herve (Harvey), James Henry, and Emma. Most were born in
Lodiville, IN (which I can not find in my current atlas.) There is one
or two references to KY.
Charles Eber, a grandson, and son of John D. was said to be buried in
Old Lewis Homestead, IN. Where is this?
Many of the children and grandchildren were born and/or died in
Vermilion County, IL.
Does this family connect to James T. LEWIS. If so, I would be happy to
communicate with any who are interested in the STEWARD-LEWIS family and
their heirs.

Bechtell Funeral Home has been out of business for many, many years. I
checked with one of funeral homes now in business to see if they had
acquired those old records. They do not have them. Is your John Baldwin

I have in my data a Dora DALE, born date unknown in Jackson Twp, Boone Co.,
IN. She married Thomas Wallace DULIN (DULAN,) October 05, 1905. I have her
date of death as August 06, 1906. The source for this information was "The
History of Boone County, Indiana" by Crist. I believe that you can also
find this information in a posted biography of Thomas Wallace DULIN
(DULAN)posted on the Boone County Web Site. Perhaps she is a descendant of
your DALE'S.

I have a Lewis Dale, born about 1796 in TN who was the son of James and
Jane Arbuckle Dale. This Lewis is one of 10 sons, many of whom served in
the war of 1812. These brothers received land grants in the "new
frontier", Indiana. Some of the brothers stayed in Indiana, others moved
west. Most of my information is at home, so I don't have the name of
Lewis' wife right off hand. The names of the 10 brothers were: Samuel,
Matthew, William, Robert, Thomas, James, Squire (my line), George, John and
Lewis. Squire settled in Boone, and died there in 1848. Any of this sound
familiar?

I've got an Elizabeth Dale in my file(with no dates/places unfortunately) who
married John C. Shulse (1803-1859). They had 2 sons John Mark and Henry A.;
this Shulse line came from Kentucky to Boone County.
