William Hudson Winters, 60, former employe of the Machinist Foundry, died at his home,
2204 East Eighteenth St., Thursday at 1:10 a.m. after a five weeks' illness. He is
survived by the widow, Minnie; two sons, Clarence and Billie Winters; a daughter, Hazel
Grash; and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Meeks Mortuary, the Reverend
Arthur W. McDavitt officiating. Burial will be in Beech Grove Cemetery.

Clarence H. Winters, 58, 1911 E. 18th St., died Friday afternoon from self-inflicted gun
shot wounds, according to Gailon Stephens, coroner, who investigated. He had been
despondent over ill health for some time.
He was superintendent of the Muncie Animal Shelter for 18 years and before that was
employed by Muncie Gear Co. A native of Hammond, he had spent the greater portion of life
here. His wife, Colleen, died in 1962.
He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. James Cobb and Mrs. Wayne Milton; three sons, Jack
C., Ezra P. and Marvin; his mother, Mrs. Minnie Winters, and 18 grandchildren, all of
Muncie, and a brother, William Winters, Warren.
Arrangements are pending at Stephens Funeral Home.

Carl F. Gresh, died at Ball Hospital Monday morning following an extended illness. She was
born in Hammond, but has spent most of her life in this community. She attended Muncie
city schools.
Surviving besides her husband are a daughter, Mrs. Virginia Reynolds; her mother, Mrs.
Minnie M. Winters; two sons, Carl F. Gresh Jr., and James L. Gresh, all of Muncie; two
brothers, William A. Wingers, Warren, and Clarence H. Winters, Muncie; and five
grandchildren, Denny and Connie Slaven, Sherrel, Kimberly Lynn, and James Gresh Jr., all
of Muncie.
Services will be held at the Meeks Mortuary at 10 a.m. Wednesday. Interment will follow in
Beech Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary after 2 p.m. Tuesday.

William A. "Bill" Winters, 87, of Warren, IN, passed away at 11:30 a.m. on
Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at Lutheran Hospital of Indiana in Fort Wayne, IN. He was born
on Tuesday, February 12, 1924 in Muncie, IN, the son of Jack and Minnie (Gresh) Winters.
Bill married Carolyn C. (Masters) Winters on June 19, 1983 in Marion, IN, and she
survives. Bill managed the Eckman John Deer Implement Dealership in Warren for many
years.
Survivors include is wife, Carolyn C. (Masters) Winters of Warren, IN; daughter, Barbara
L. Winters of Indianapolis, IN; sons, Ted W. (Towana) Winters of Huntington, IN, Tim
(Lynn) Winters of Warren, IN, and Tom (Glenna) Winters of Mt. Pleasant, TN; stepson,
Robert G. Masters of Van Buren, IN, and Cary D. (Joan) Masters of Van Buren, IN;
stepdaughters, Michelle M. (Dennis) Sexton of Van Buren, IN, Micki L. (Paul) Delaney of
Festus, MO, Pamela S. (John) Vadas of Hammond, IN, and Kimberle C. (Steven) English of
Louisville, KY; as well as seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one
great-great-grandchild; 14 step grandchildren and four step great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Minnie (Gresh) Winters; father, Jack Winters;
brother, Clarence Winters; and sister, Hazel.
Arrangements are being handled by Glancy-H.Brown & Son Funeral Home, 203 N. Matilda
St., Warren, where family and friends may gather to share and remember at the funeral home
from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, December 30, 2011. A service to celebrate Bill's life
will be at the funeral home at 1 p.m. Friday, December 30, 2011 with the Pastor Kathy
Newton officiating. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Warren, IN.
