In response to Dee's inquiry about the BAKERS, David and Mary Magdaleen
ZIMMERMAN BAKER were born near Greensburgh, Pa. and went to Butler Co., Pa.,
where their children were born. They came to Blackford Co., Ind. in 1860 and
David is buried in Mt. Tabor Cemetery just north of Dunkirk. Their children
were Zachariah, Josiah, William D., Jonathan, Prussia M., Hannah M., Cathren
A., Amos Henry and Amanda Jane. Amos, a Civil War vet, married Sally BOWEN
REYNOLDS, widow of Joseph REYNOLDS, who died in the Civil War. They moved to
Marion. Amanda married first James M. BOWEN.

Tom Do you have who Amos's father was? Most of my Bakers came
from Va and
Ky. But they must of had brothers and sisters that went to the other
states
My main Line is Baker and the one we have right now found is John
Baker
m.
to Tabitha Cowen/Cowan. We don't know where he came from or who
his
parents
were.
Thank you for replying
Dee

My surnames came early to Jackson township, Blackford Co., Ind.
BOWEN, William and father Thomas 1836
EVANS, George 1847
SNYDER, John H.1850
SHERRY, David 1863
Others that would be of interest are NEEDLES, CLORE, RACER, BARNES, HUGHES
in that time period and earlier.
Deidre mentioned the Baker surname. I have a Sally Bowen that married Amos
Baker if your are interested, Deidre.
Also, if Barbara Richardson is interested, I have a Bowen that married a
Richardson.
