Callahan—Moran.
The Cathedral was the scene of a pretty wedding June 23 at half after 9
o'clock when Miss Mary Moran, daughter of Mrs. Peter Moran, became the
bride of Frank James Callahan, of Conneaut, Ohio. The nuptial mass was
celebrated by Rev. P. F. Roche. The bride entered the church with her
brother, Mr. Peter Moran, and was attended by Miss Winifred Callahan. The
bride wore a beautiful costume of lace over which hung a veil of tulle held
in place with white rosebuds. The bridal bouquet was made of white roses
and delicate ferns and tied with tulle ribbon. Miss Callahan wore a white
lingerie gown made over pink with a white Neapolitan hat trimmed with pink
plumes and her flowers were pink roses tied with pink ribbon. The ushers of
the church were Mr. Bernard Moran, a brother of the bride, and Mr. Frank
Biemer. After the impressive service at the church the bridal party,
including the nearest relatives, went to the home of the bride's mother,
617 East Wayne street, where a wedding breakfast was served by Mrs.
Schumaker. The breakfast table presented a lovely appearance with its
decoration of white flowers, delicate, ferns and dainty favors at each
plate, which consisted of flowers. The place cards had tiny white satin
bags of rice attached to them, which were emptied later in the day in
showering the bride and groom with good luck wishes. There were covers for
twenty guests at the breakfast. The bride and groom are on a trip and after
July 10 will be at home at 803 Monroe street, where they will go to
housekeeping. Mr. Callahan, is accountant in the auditing department of the
Fort Wayne Electric company and both bride and groom are deservedly
popular, and admired by their many friends.
