Jeanette,
I did a quick online search and found the following:

From Herron Rail Video (800)783-3886 there is available
SW-2 - SINGING WIRE Volume 2 INDIANA RAILROAD Is an in-depth documentary of the
big interurban system of the 1930's. With over 800 track miles, the IRR stretched
out in all directions from Indianapolis to reach Ft. Wayne, Marion, Louisville,
Terre Haute and other points. Produced from rare 16mm and 8mm film, this video is
an absolute must for traction fans. 56 mins.....39.95

The National Model Railroad Association (NMRA) has a Special Interest Group for
Interurban systems. It is available online at"
http://www.getnet.com/~dickg/nmra/sigs/ShoreLine/ShoreLine4.html
Their current newsletter has an article on the Northern Indiana Railway and will
have hobbyists that are very knowledgeable on interurbans in and around Ft. Wayne.

Kevin T. Farrell at Railroad & Trolley Books Phone/Fax: (978) 663-6239 or
kevin(a)trainbooks.com lists a number of out of print books on Indiana Interurban
Systems at very reasonable prices.

The folks from the NMRA may be able to provide the most help on the appropriate
colors for tinting your photo.
Hope this helps

I just called my Mom (age 82) who rode the Interurban frequently to
and from
Fort Wayne/Munice. She thinks the cars were brownish, not a bright color at
any rate--no red, no yellow. Indianapolis and Fort Wayne were the termini. It
was full of smoke (smokers). She wore a coat with a fur collar that absorbed
all the smokey smells and couldn't hang it in her closet. She remembers that
there were all kind of chacters on the Interurban, some tried to come on to the
girls. The Interurban picked up mail and carried freight. Often the farmers
would ship their chicks and she would hear their cheeping all the way from FW
to Muncie. My Mom's name was Evelyn Mueller (Sherbondy).
I hope this information is of some help to the inquiries below.

Hi. I remember riding the interurban to Monroeville as a child. Could
this be what you mean?
I have a picture of my dad's uncle standing beside the trolley he manned
and wish I had the
colors as I'd like to color tint it. I've been researching and asking Fort
Wayne folks (I've been
gone from IN for nearly 40 years) but cannot come up with anything.
