In reply to Diane McInnes;
Yes there is a motel thats not too expensive. Its in New Haven, just east
of Fort Wayne. The Hometown Inn. Its not very expensive and is in a safe
area. The phone number is 219-749-5058, and the address is 6910 US 30
East. As you come down 930 (or 30) toward New Haven, its on the right hand
side of the highway, beside Wendys
and across the street from a Clark gas station.
It is much safer than staying in Ft. Wayne. If you have any questions,
e-mail me at pattilynn(a)worldnet.att.net, I'll be glad to help you.

Subject: [INALLEN-L] Allen County Library
Sorry to impose on the list a personal question - but I am going to be
in
Fort Wayne in a few weeks, and plan on doing a few days' research at the
Allen County library in their (I have heard) excellent genealogical area.
Does anyone know of a hotel/motel that might be somewhat in the vicinity -
I will have a rental car, but would prefer not to have to drive long
distance to get there - that is not too expensive (our Canadian $$ is only
worth about .67 right now) - and in a safe(?) area for a female travelling
alone (hope this does not offend any Ft Wayne residents - I don't know if
safety is a problem there - I'd like to think not!!)? Is there much
parking available near the library? Thank you very much - and, again,
sorry, this is not a direct genealogy question!
