Bill,
I never go to ACPL without first accessing the catalog. I enter my search
terms and get the info for my call slips to save time when I am there.
That, of course, is not an option for you. However, you can search to your
hearts content and find books that you might not have known existed. You
then can attempt to obtain them through your local library or any one of
many sources. It obviously is more difficult being so far away but ACPL is
a great library. We go several times a year. Also you can request lookups
in particular books. Some of the listers are kind enough to provide this
service. Could someone give Bill the site for lookups? Give it a try. I
will be very surprised if you do not find something useful.

Subject: [INALLEN-L] ACPub.Library at Long Distance
A question for INALLEN subscribers who have used the services and
any
content
of the Allen County Public Library FROM LONG DISTANCE (i.e., without
visiting
the Library 'in person'):
For the membership of the Mission Oaks Genealogy Club
(a multi-national-focus organization) in Sacramento,
CA
(2000 miles from Fort Wayne) what, if anything of
genealogical
use or interest is available from the ACPL?; and
HOW?
Thank you for your attention. Bill Rietdorf
