Hi Bill,
You may visit the library's web site at
http://www.acpl.lib.in.us/ .
There you will find an online catalog which you may search to see books
that are available at the libary. Just enter the location, such as
California, and then click to search. Unfortunately, the vast
microfilmed resources collection is not yet included in the online
catalog. The microfilm collection includes all available U.S. census,
city directories, vital records for many locations, histories, maps,
etc. See the page at
http://www.acpl.lib.in.us/genealogy/whoweare.html
The historical genealogy collection, however, is a closed collection,
which means the materials may not be checked out.
Regards,

A question for INALLEN subscribers who have used the services and any
content
of the Allen County Public Library FROM LONG DISTANCE (i.e., without
visiting
the Library 'in person'):
For the membership of the Mission Oaks Genealogy Club
(a multi-national-focus organization) in Sacramento,
CA
(2000 miles from Fort Wayne) what, if anything of
genealogical
use or interest is available from the ACPL?; and
HOW?
Thank you for your attention. Bill Rietdorf
