Family History Month Special Event
On Sunday, October 31st the Genealogy Department of the Allen County
Public Library in Fort Wayne in will be open for extended research hours
from 6pm until midnight.
In addition to these special hours, nationally known genealogical
lecturer, Michael John Neill will be presenting 3 mini lectures during
the evening. Michael Neill is a columnist for Ancestry Daily News,
Course I coordinator for the Genealogical Institute of Mid-America, and
has presented at many local, state and national conferences.
These mini lectures are free for those attending "Night Owl"
research hours, and will last half an hour. Topics include:
Using
Ancestry.com
Court records at the Allen County Public Library
Organizing your "stuff"
To join us for these special hours, you must be in the department at
200 E. Berry, Fort Wayne, Indiana by 6pm. The library opens at 1pm,
come early, there are 11 hours for research on Sunday, instead of the
usual 5!! We'll have snacks.
Come find your ancestors lurking in the stacks of one of the largest
