The Indiana Historical Society and the Indiana Genealogical Society will
co-sponsor Midwestern Roots 2003 Family History and Genealogy Conference
July 11 and 12 in Indianapolis.
The conference will be held at the Indianapolis Marriott East and will
include speakers Tony Burroughs, Michael John Neill, Cyndi Howells, Amy
Johnson Crow, Paul Milner, John Philip Colletta, Loretto Szucs, Curt
Witcher, and others. Topics will include naturalization records,
immigration and migration, what's new in family history, genetics and
genealogy, finding ethnic origins and many more. Pre- conference
activities on July 10 will include special research hours at area
libraries, computer labs and an evening lecture at the IHS.
