Yes, the cemetery is in real bad shape but not as bad as it used to be
thanks to two Cub Scout Packs, one Boy Scout Troop and a Varsity Scout Crew.
In Oct. they got about half of the brush, scrub and weeds cleared out. The
Varsity Scouts have made a new sign and all these fine young men want to
take Hatfield Cemetery on as a yearly project. They will be back this May
for more cleaning, along with myself. I was only able to get there once
this Winter but was able to clean up one small section and unbury one stone.
Hopefully, this Spring and Summer I can do some stone repair and resetting.
Their are quite a few that are broken and buried. The Washington township
trustee does take care of the lawn but that's about all he has time and
money for.

The Hatfield Cemetery is located on Washington Center Road. The
cemetery
is
in real bad shape. The only records are the tomb stone reading done
by
the
Allen County Genealogical Society. See Allen County Look-ups on the
Allen
Co. GenWeb page. There is a volunteer how will look up what information
is
available for you.
