When planning a visit to Ft. Wayne, make a list of exactly what you want to
view. The library is so large that the first time I went I was overwhelmed
by what they have. I would take pencils and pens,a small stapler and do not
read everything you through want you want, but copy everything. You can
always read it later. Be sure to date everything and label the reference
and the page no. I take a plastic box with these items in it and well as
file folders for each family I am looking for. The copy machines are great,
but many are usually busy. Expect your day to be very busy and you will be
tired at the end of the day. You will never for get your visit and I know
from experience that you will want to go again. Lynn Hilty Sewell-TN

Subject: [INALLEN-L] Planning a Visit to Ft Wayne Genealogy Center
Hello!
I'm a 28 year old female who is planning on visiting the Ft Wayne
genealogy
center with some friends. From what I hear it's the best
genealogy center
around. Can someone give me some ideas on things that I want to bring
along?
Is there tours or anything that might help us to look in the right
direction? Is there a good time to go? Most likely be a weekend.
Or would someone from Ft Wayne who is reading this be able to show us
around? Any answer or things would be helpful.
I have some relatives "Kinstle or Kunstle" who moved to Ft Wayne. On the
internet I found a book there that has some inforamtion.
THank you
Leigh Ann
