This is just a shot in the dark but there is a Fenwick "James" who was 8
mos. old in 1880 living in the home of Ed James(36 y/o brick mason b. in Ky.)
and Deborah James(28 y/o housekeeper b. in Ky. as were her parents). Also
living in thye house are older brothers Jonah (10 y/o), Claud (5 y/o), and older
sister Marnie (2 y/o).Ed and Marnie were sick with a "chill" at the time of
the reading on June 1, 1880. There appears to be the letter "I" preceding the
name "James". They all lived in Owensboro, Daviess, Kentucky.
In 1920 your Fenwick B. Imes was living in West Highland Park, Jefferson
County, Kentucky with wife Maude M. (35 y/o who was born in Ky. as were her
parents). Two daughters:Thelma G. (15 y/o) and Lilah M. (12 y/o) also live in the
home. At that time Fenwick was a carpenter. He may have been working for a
railroad doing car repairs but I can't read the census too clearly with regards
to these particulars.
Hope this helps.
