Having grown up in Fort Wayne from 1941 to 1946, I have fond memories of the
marvelous Christmas displays at the Wolf & Dessauer store. To my
recollection there was a large illuminated Santa Claus in his sleigh on the Calhoun St.
side, and a wreath on the Washington St. side.
I found a recent article by Frank Gray of the Journal-Gazette about these
displays, including photograph of some new window displays, but no pictures of
the old exterior displays. FYI, the URL is

. Searching the photos at
the Allen County site was no help.
Does anyone on the list know of where photos like this might be found? Of
course, they can't be sent as attachments to this list, but maybe someone has
old photos that could be scanned and sent directly to me.
Thanks.
