Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb

The Indiana Historical Society and the Indiana Genealogical Society have
planned an in-depth weekend conference designed to offer help to every
researcher, from novice to seasoned veteran. The Midwestern Roots 2003
Family History and Genealogy Conference, July 11 and 12 in Indianapolis,
will feature a variety of topics, including researching Native American
ancestors, how to make better use of Internet searches, how genetics can
help in genealogy research and much more. The conference, sponsored by
the Indiana Historical Society and the Indiana Genealogical Society,
will feature well-known speakers such as Cyndi Howells, Loretto Szucs,
Curt Witcher, Tony Burroughs and John Phillip Colletta.

The Johnson Roots Conference - a conference for the descendants of James and
Rebecca Baxter Johnson will be held July 26th, Fairview Church of God, Yoder
road west, from 10:00 to 1:00 All descendants are encouraged to attend.
