Hello, can someone please offer tips ( or direct me to a web page) on
planning a trip to the Allen County Library? I'll be coming down from
Michigan and staying overnight.
Thanks,
Holly

Might someone have an index to the 1850 census?
1850 Allen County Census Request
Gladieux, Jean Pierre (b. 1811/12 France)
wife - Rosalie (b. 1813 France)
children -
Francis (b. 1837 Fra)
Josephine (b. 1841 Fra)
Celestine/Lester (bp. 1845 Stark Oh) (obit states he was "2yrs old" when came to Allen Co)
Victoria (b. 1848 Oh?? In??)
Gladieux can have some pretty bizarre spellings ...
I have seen Jean Pierre as John or Peter
Thanks,
Diane
Found this from another list and thought it might help
someone with ancestors in Indiana before 1850. It
gives some tips on using the Online Indiana Marriage

Just wish the index went a few years later...
