Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
For about the last 24-48 hours, there has been a widespread problem with
accessing Ancestry.com.
I'm not an expert in Internet issues, but it appears that any attempts to
reach the domain "ancestry.com" are not being recognized. As I understand
it, the folks at RootsWeb/Ancestry/MyFamily are aware of the problem, and
working on it. However, it may not be able to be fixed quickly.
Best suggestion: Don't get frustrated, enjoy your family on the Labor Day
holiday, plan to get back to genealogy later, and PLEASE, don't use this
message to start a big discussion!

I was also interested in your location of Terre Haute , In. Is there
any information about my grandmother Mary Margaret" Smith" Doud that was
supposed to have died in Terra Haute. The date was 1931, maybe Oct 6. She
was born 1850 in Oh.
