Hello I am looking for death records for Capt. Phineas Wheelock. He was
b. 1781 in Manchester, NH and died Aug. 1, 1848 in Huntertown, Indiana.
He is buried in Huntertown Cemetery. Any help on him and his family
would be greatly appreciated.

Hi! I am looking for any information on Headfords. Specifically, I am
looking for info on Arthur Goddard Headford and his parents.
According to the LDS website, Arthur was born 6-23-1887 in Peru, Miami
County.
According to his S.S. application, Arthur was born 6-23-1889 in Ft.
Wayne, Allen County. Arthur's parents were Samuel Henry Headford and
Nina Fayette Crayton. I've found information on a Ralph Headford who I
believe may be Arthur's brother or some other relation, but I have no
proof. I'm writing to both lists in hopes that someone will be able to
help me. Thanks!
Nancy
Hi Cathy:
I you have not found out the information you are looking for, let me know by
tomorrow evening and I will look for you on Monday when I go to the National
Archives.

Does anyone have information on the BRADBURY surname in Allen Co., during the
1800's? I am specifically for ancestors or descendants of a Sherrod
BRADBURY, who married a Miss KOONS.
Brian,
Thanks so much for your kind words. Appreciation makes the searching worth
while.
You are correct in that there is an overwhelming amount of information that can
be accessed at the library and it does indeed take time to go through all of
that information.

Hi Meg....no I don't. Only that she married my grandfather Charles Conner.

Meg,
What you do for others there at Allen County's library is very kind. For
those of you folks that haven't been to that library, it's overwhelming and
very large. For Meg to do a obituary lookup, for example, she has to find
the name in one of about 20 books. Granted the books are dated but most
times they are in someone elses hands at the time, or not on the shelf in
the right place, or in the back where the general public isn't allowed
because someone put it on the return cart. When Meg finds the right obit
book and finds the correct name, she has to go downstairs and across the
library, find the microfilm, then find the paper's page, then print it,
which costs her money. Not much, but she still pays to print.
Meg, what you do for others is very kind.
Also, thank you for the link you attached on Vital Records. It sure is much
better then my Ancestry Address book.

Hi Everyone,
If anyone has the 1870 Indiana Census available to them, I would so
appreciate knowing if John Weaver b. 1813, wife Nancy b. 1834 and children
James b. abt 1855, Samuel b. 1864, Joseph b. 1866 and Hattie b. 1869 are
shown living together. (John was in Allen Co. in the 1860 with children from
first wife who died in 1859 - I am trying to ascertain that the John Weaver
who married Nancy and had the above children, is my g.g. grandfather, if so,
I've hit a bonanza of information!).
Thank you!
Cathy
Janet,
Do you know the given names for the SCHAFHAUSERs and the maiden name for the
mother?

Trina,
What were Louis' parents given names? That will help in the search since Davis is
a common name.
