FLORENCE DOHERTY
Mrs. Florence Doherty, 83, of the Limberlost Apartments, Geneva, the widow of Otto N.
Doherty, died at 12:10 p.m. Saturday at the Jay County Hospital in Geneva.
She was a member of the High St. United Methodist Church in Geneva.
Born in Randolph County on March 28, 1895, she was the daughter of William and Lolla
Kemp-Hany, and was married on Jan. 4, 1928 to Otto N. Doherty, who died in 1944.
Survivors include three children: Kenneth, Geneva; Carl E. Cochran, Pleasant Lake; and
Robert, New Castle, Pa.; one sister, Mrs. Inez Milburn, Winter Haven, Fla.; 15
grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the church, with Rev. Robert Boggs
officiating. Burial will be in the Decatur Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Downing funeral home, Geneva, after 1 p.m. today and until
12:30 p.m. Tuesday, and then at the church after 1 p.m.
