RICHARD M. (DICK) FOREMAN
Richard M. (Dick) Foreman, 57, 1503 West Monroe St., a well-known Decatur resident who
served as Adams County dog warden for the sheriff's department for nine years, died at
12:30 p.m. Thursday at his residence, following an extended illness.
Mr. Foreman was a member of the St. Mark's United Methodist Church, Homer Pierson
Post 207 of the American Legion, Willshire, O., and the VFW and Moose Lodge.
Born in Decatur on March 13, 1922, he was the son of Clarence E. and Florence
Venis-Foreman, and was married on Feb. 24, 1952 to Martha Painter who survives.
Also surviving are the mother, a resident of Decatur; four children, Mrs. Kenneth
(Sheila) Hollopeter, Cincinnati, O., Jerry, William (Bill) and Michael (Mike) Foreman, all
of Decatur; one brother, Donald Foreman, route 3, Decatur; seven grandchildren; and one
great-grandchild. One brother preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Winteregg-Linn and
Haggard Funeral Home, with Rev. C. Albert Nunery officiating. Burial will be in the
Decatur Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Saturday.
Preferred memorials are to the St. Mark's United Methodist Church.
Military graveside rites will be held by the Homer Pierson Post 207 of the American
Legion of Willshire.
