SYBLE SCHINDLER
Syble Wagley Schindler, 83, Berne, died at 6:15 a.m. Sunday in Swiss Village.
She was born on March 4, 1914 in Groveton, Texas to Noah and Ollie Moore Thomas. She
married Leonard Wagley on June 22, 1929. He died in April 1981. She married Ornell
Schindler on Nov. 21, 1987; he survives.
She was a homemaker and a member of Cross United Church of Berne. She also was a
member Teti? Sheri Temple, Daughters of the Nile, Order of the Eastern Star and White
Shrine of Jerusalem. She was a former leader of the Hartford Township 4-H Club.
Other survivors are 2 sons, Thomas R. Wagley, Muncie and Dr. Robert A. Wagley, Dayton,
Ohio; a sister, Melba Hall, Houston, Texas; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Wagley, Monroe;
seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a son, Leonard Wagley, Jr.; a grandchild; two brothers, Clifford and Clyde
Thomas and four sisters, Jewel Ward, Geraldine King, Bonnie Thomas and Mildred Vosdingh.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Yager-Kirchhofer Funeral Home,
Berne, with burial in MRE Cemetery. Visiting hours are 2-3:30 p.m. and 5:30-7 p.m. today
and 1-2 p.m. Wednesday.
Preferred memorials are to the church.
