DIED FROM HEART DISEASE
John Barnett, a clerk in the Rogers & Cole hardware store, received a message from
Decatur this morning notifying him of the death of his father, Henry Barnett, a prominent
farmer of Adams County. He was sixty-five years of age.
The informant of Mr. Barnett stated that his father had died while at the breakfast
table and that death was directly due to heart disease. He had been in poor health much
of the time during the past year but was thought to have grown strong again. He leaves a
wife and seven children, all grown, to mourn his death.
Mr. Barnett went to Decatur on the noon train, to remain until after the funeral.
