ELIZABETH C. WIETFELDT
Elizabeth C. Wietfeldt, 63, 319 Mercer Ave., a retired housekeeper and former employee
of the Adams County Memorial Hospital and Decatur Community Care Center, died at 7:35 a.m.
Sunday at the Adams County Memorial Hospital, where she had been hospitalized one day.
She was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church and Decatur Senior Citizens.
Born near Springfield, Ill., on Dec. 19, 1920, she was the daughter of Alexander and
Addie Miles-Patterson, and was married December 19, 1940, to Oscar Wietfeldt; he died Nov.
21, 1981.
Survivors include a son, Donald G., route 5, Decatur; a daughter, Mrs. Burl (Sharon)
Scott,
route 2, Geneva; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. One grandchild
preceded in death.
Services will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the Winteregg-Linn & Haggard Funeral
Home, with Rev. John Gillig officiating. Burial will be in the Monroeville Memorial
Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. today. A wake service will
be held at 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials are to the St. Mary's Improvement
Fund.
