PETE HIRSCHEY
Pete Hirschey, 27, route 4, Decatur, died at 11:53 p.m. Thursday in southern Wells
County near Montpelier, Indiana from injuries suffered when a car under which he was
working slipped off a jack and fell on him.
He was born in Decatur on March 20, 1963 to Sonny and Anna Ball Hirschey. His father
is deceased; his mother, Mrs. John (Anna) Springer, lives in Decatur. He married Pamela
Sue Kinsey on December 8, 1984 and she also survives.
He was employed by Old World Construction Co., Decatur, and formerly worked at Decatur
Industries.
Other survivors include two daughters, Kinyette and Deidrea, both at home; a
grandfather, Quincy Ball, Decatur; three sisters, Mrs. Frank (Mary) Neal, Fort Wayne and
Mrs. Daniel (Cindy) Murdock and Flora Springer, both of Decatur; and three brothers, John
Hirschey and Gene and Arthur Springer, all of Decatur.
Funeral services are at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Zwick-Sefton & Jahn Funeral Home, Rev.
George Dillman officiating. Burial will be in Decatur Cemetery. Visiting hours at the
funeral home are 5-9 p.m. Monday. Preferred memorials are to the Hirschey family.
