CURTIS RAY DIES; RITES THURSDAY
Curtis B. Ray, 78, of Bluffton Route 2 died at 11:20 p.m. Monday at Wells Community
Hospital. He had been ill four days.
Born Oct. 29, 1892 in Adams County, he was a son of Andrew and Mary Ann McElhaney Ray.
His marriage to Emma Tester, who survives, took place Aug. 30, 1913 in Fort Wayne.
A member of the Church of the Brethren, he was retired from Zollner Piston in Fort
Wayne, where he was employed 21 years.
Surviving, in addition to the wife, are two daughters, Mrs. Truman (Helen) Bierie and
Mrs. Robert (Mildred) Braden, both of Bluffton; two brothers, Albert of Largo, Fla., and
Cleo of Celina, O., four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Friends may call after 7 p.m. today at the Thoma Funeral Home, where services will be
held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday. Rev. Matthew Worthman will officiate and burial will be in
the Six Mile Cemetery.
