MONROE LADY DIES FROM INFLUENZA
Mrs. Carrie Andrews Was Life-Long Resident of Adams County
Mrs. Carrie Andrews, aged forty-five, wife of Edward Andrews, living a mile and a half
northeast of Monroe, passed away Monday evening at 6:30 from influenza. Mr. Andrews, who
had been ill of the flu, has recovered.
The deceased was a life-long resident of Adams county. She was a daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Robert Brown, and was born August 30, 1873.
The husband and five children include her immediate family. The children are Floyd,
Pierceton; Leslie, Tiro, Ohio; Dwight, a soldier in France; Harod [sic] and Cecil, at
home. Surviving members of her parental family are four brothers and four sisters.
She was a member of the Monroe Methodist church and the minister of that town
officiated at the funeral Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock from the home.
