Lucille G. Bodle, 67, 947 Highland Park, died at 3:27 p.m. Thursday in Lutheran
Hospital in Fort Wayne.
She was born on April 8, 1927 in Van Wert, Ohio to Harry and Daisy Heath Wolfcale and
married Raymond Bodle on June 29, 1944. He died on December 15, 1993.
She was a former waitress at the old Mirror Inn in Decatur and a member of First
Baptist Church, the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, and the American Legion
Auxiliary.
Surviving are seven sons, Barry Bodle, Tocsin; Dean Bodle, Scott, Ohio; and Gary,
Dennis, Gene, and Raymond Bodle, Jr. all of Decatur; two daughters, Janice Thornton,
Decatur, and Mrs. William, (Mary) Clark, Geneva; a brother, Wilbur Wolfcale, Mendon, Ohio;
18 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Two sisters and five brothers are deceased.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Sunday in Haggard and Armes Funeral Home, with
burial in Decatur Cemetery. Visiting hours are 4 to 8 Saturday. There will be a Women of
the Moose memorial service at 7:30 p.m. Saturday and a VFW Auxiliary memorial service at
7:45 p.m. Saturday.

The name of a surviving sister was not included in an obituary listed in Friday's
edition. Thelma Davis of Convoy, Ohio survives the late Lucile Bodle. Also surviving is
Mrs. Bodle's companion of 20 years, Jake Warner. Mrs. Bodle was preceded in death by
a brother, Wilbur Wolfcale, and her husband, Raymond, who died December 5, 1993.
