Adela S. Hunter, 20 route 5, Decatur, died in the emergency room of Adams County
Memorial Hospital Sunday morning of injuries suffered in a traffic accident that day in
Adams County (story on page one).
She was born in Adams County on December 2, 1968 to Forest and Judith Roudebush
Strickler, who reside on route 5, Decatur, and married Mark Hunter on May 28, 1988; he
survives.
She was recently employed at D&D Time Saver in Decatur and was a 1988 graduate of
Bellmont High School.
Other survivors include a son, Steven Strickler, and a daughter, Megan Hunter, both at
home; three sisters, Mrs. Joe (Daphne) Milakovic, route 5, Decatur; Melissa Strickler,
Huntertown; and Amy Stricker, route 5, Decatur; one brother, Robin Strickler, route 5,
Decatur; the paternal grandparents: Bunny Roudebush, Huntertown, and Harold Strickler,
134 Piqua Rd.; the paternal great-grandmother, Ann Gamsby, Rolla, North Dakota; the
maternal grandfather, Doyle "Bus" Lee, 122 S. 8th St.; and the father-in-law and
mother-in-law, John and Jane Hunter, Berne. One brother, John Strickler, is deceased.
Funeral services are at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Zwick Sefton and Jahn Funeral Home,
Rev. Sylvester Martin officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Tabor Cemetery. Visiting hours
are 2-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Preferred memorials are to her children.
