E. LORENA LEHMAN
E. Lorena "Glory" Lehman, 90, a lifelong Berne resident, died at 11:20 p.m.
Sunday in Adams County Memorial Hospital, where she had been since April 5.
She was born in Berne on Augus 22, 1898 to J. F. and Catherine Nussbaum Sprunger and
married Waldo M. Lehman on June 12, 1925; he died August 5, 1980.
She was a member of First Mennonite Church in Berne and taught Sunday School there. She
was also a leader of the Loyal Temperance Legion of Adams County, a member of the Berne
Garden Club, and was the last member of the Duodecim Club of Berne.
Surviving are one son, J. Stuart Lehman, Berne; one sister, Mrs. Maurice (Arvilla) Troyer,
Spring House, Pennsylvania; and one grandaughter. Two brothers and five sisters are
deceased.
Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Wednesday in First Mennonite Church, Revs. Curt Claasen and
Peter Voran officiating. Burial will be in MRE Cemetery. Visiting hours are 2-9 p.m.
Tuesday and 9 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Wednesday in Yager-Kirchhofer Funeral Home, Berne, and 1-2
p.m. Wednesday at the church. Preferred memorials are to the church for missions.
