There is still, I believe, an historical society in Adams County. At one time there was a
web site for them,
but it no longer exists that I know of. The Historical society maintains a museum at the
corner of 5th and
Monroe Streets in Decatur, but I don't know the hours of operation. I don't
believe the society has an active
library of genealogical information. I know the society was responsible for the 1979
History of Adams Co.,
which may still be available for sale at the Library in Decatur.
If anyone has further information I'd appreciate knowing as well. I have a copy of a
2005 newsletter in my
file giving their mailing address as PO Box 262, Decatur, 46733. At that time the
president was Rebecca Goble.
