I've had a membership to the Historical Society. They put out a quarterly
newsletter, The Trumpeter. Annual single membership is $10 or husband/wife
for $15. Their address is:
The Adams County Historical Society
P.O. Box 262
Decatur, Indiana 46733
They do sell a variety of items. Their order form in the back of their
newsletter lists plates, medallions, paperweights, cook book, angel ornament
as well along with the Vol I and Vol. II of the Adams County History Books.
There's no main phone number listed but the phone number for the museum is
260-724-3493. Perhaps you can find out more there. The last newsletter I
could quickly find here was from last September and the editor was Bob Adams
and the president was Herb Myers.

There is still, I believe, an historical society in Adams County. At one
time there was a web site for them,
but it no longer exists that I know of. The Historical society maintains a
museum at the corner of 5th and
Monroe Streets in Decatur, but I don't know the hours of operation. I don't
believe the society has an active
library of genealogical information. I know the society was responsible for
the 1979 History of Adams Co.,
which may still be available for sale at the Library in Decatur.
If anyone has further information I'd appreciate knowing as well. I have a
copy of a 2005 newsletter in my
file giving their mailing address as PO Box 262, Decatur, 46733. At that
time the president was Rebecca Goble.
