LENA OSTERMEYER
Lena Ostermeyer, 78, 945 N. Fifth St., died at 9 p.m. Tuesday at her home. She had
been in ill health for several years, but death was unexpected.
Born June 11, 1905, in Preble township, she was the daughter of William E. and Louise
Schroeder-Buuck, and was married on May 25, 1930 to Theodore Ostermeyer; he passed away
November 20, 1974.
A housewife, she was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Friedheim, and the church's
Tabea Society.
Survivors include a son, William F. Ostermeyer, Decatur; three sisters, Mrs. Fred
(Edna) Kueneke of route 1, Decatur; Mrs. Hilda Roehrs of route 1, Hoagland, and Mrs.
Raymond (Lorna) Schueler of Friona, Texas; five grandchildren and three
great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Elviera Crosby; two
brothers, Herman and Alfred Buuck; and a sister, Adelinda Fuhrman.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Zwick-Boltz & Jahn Funeral
Home, and at 2 p.m. at the church, Rev. Marvin R. Hinkle in charge. Burial will be in the
church cemetery.
Calling at the funeral home is after 7 o'clock tonight. Preferred memorials are to
the church or Lutheran Homes, Inc.
