CHANCY ANDREWS DIED IN OKLAHOMA
Former Decatur Man Dies at Enid After Illness Due to Dropsy
Mrs. Enoch Eady, corner of seventh and Madison streets, received a message announcing
the death, Sunday morning at 8:55 o'clock, of her brother, Chancy Andrews aged 45
years, of Enid, Oklahoma. Mr. Andrews had been ill for more than three months suffering
from dropsy and heart trouble. His father, John D. Andrews, of this city, was called to
his bedside about two months ago.
Surviving are the widow and two sons, Burton Andrews, of South Bend, and Charles
Andrews of Enid, Oklahoma. The father, John D. Andrews, survives. One brother, Harvey
Andrews resides in Akron, Ohio; two sisters, Mrs. Enoch Eady, of this city, and Mrs. Chas.
Railing, of Lima, Ohio, also survive.
The deceased was born and reared to manhood in Adams county, but has resided in
Oklahoma for several years. Burial will be made at Enid, with funeral services Tuesday
afternoon. Relatives from this city will be unable to attend because of the distance.
