FLOSSIE I. BAKER DEAD

DECATUR, Ind. - Dec. 26 - Flossie I. Baker, 27, wife of C. Ed Baker, died Christmas
afternoon at 1:10 o'clock from leakage of the heart following a week's illness of
influenza. Mr. Baker and daughter, Mildred, aged seven, have both recovered, but the
other child, a son, aged three, is very ill. The body of Mrs. Baker was removed to the
undertaking parlors of Scherer for preparation for burial and later taken to the home of
her mother, Mrs. John Bolinger, until the funeral which will be Friday afternoon at ?:30
from the M. E. church. The deceased was a daughter of W. E. and ?? Aurand Strait, and
was born near Peterson, this county, August 9, 1891. Her father died when she was but two
years of age, and she was reared by her foster father, John D. Bolinger, as his own child,
upon the marriage of her mother to him when the daughter was but two years of age.
Besides the relatives named before, she leaves two brothers, Alva and John Strait of
Middleton, O., and a half bro!
