I'm also descended from Enos and Enos W. Butler, whose daughter Lydia Butler married
Joel House Andrews. She, Lydia, was mom to Joel Henry Andrews, who was father to Albert
Lloyd Andrews (my maternal grandfather).
I have photos of Joel Henry and his wife Mabel of Alda, NE posted on my tree and have a
bit of info if anyone is interested. My regular e-mail is lbarmstrong3378(a)comcast.net.
For anyone who is interested, there is a book published last year, 2013, available on
Amazon, that's a work of historical fiction by Janet Kastner Olshewsky, called
"The Snake Fence." It's based on the life of Noble Butler. I've been in
touch with her and she related that there is also a book authored in 1982 by Thomas
Butler, called "Noble Butler and the Pennsylvania Butlers of Chester County"
(that might not be exactly right but I can't locate my notes right now). Thanks to you
all for the above information!
Also, I am in the Atlanta area and am trying to find more information about the Georgia
connections to the Butlers and Reynolds. I think that Enos went south from Chester County
after the American Revolution with his brother Beale but then moved to Indiana. Would love
it if anyone had details of that. Thanks much, Laura Armstrong
