MILDRED COLE
Mildred Liddy Cole, 86, Homestead 30, died at 4:16 a.m. Sunday in Adams County Memorial
Hospital.
She was born on January 24, 1904 in Petroleum to William E. and Esta M. Gentis Liddy
and married to Gerald O. Cole on February 22, 1930; he survives.
She was a bookkeeper at First State Bank of Decatur from 1922-44, a member of St.
Mark's United Methodist Church and its Faith Circle, and a member of and past
president of Decatur's Tri Kappa sorority.
Other survivors include four sons, David G. Cole, Fort Wayne, a former Decatur
resident; Roger H. Cole, 433 S. First St.; John M. "Mike" Cole, Steubenville,
Ohio; and Daniel S. Cole, 217 Limberlost Trail; a daughter, Barbara A. Cole, 327
Stephenson St.; 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Haggard and Armes Funeral Home, Rev.
James S. Hook officiating. Burial will be in Decatur Cemetery. Visiting hours are 7-9
p.m. today. Preferred memorials are to St. Mark's United Methodist Church or the Tri
Kappa Memorial Fund.
